Ground School Training

Your Ground School Training through to Exam Completion will take at least 4 months of study and onsite classes.

Flight Training

Your flight training will take at least 40 hrs and may be done at the same time as your Ground School Training.

On average, students will take 45hrs of flight training to be ready to take the final exam.

Flight Training is broken down as follows;

20 hrs consisting of;

• basic maneuvers.
• emergency procedures.
• take-offs and landings, etc.

5 hrs of Cross Country Navigation.

This is all done with a qualified flight instructor.

Then you’ll have 15 hrs flying solo under the supervision of the CFI.

And finally you’ll need 5 hrs of Solo Navigation Cross-Country Flights.

This will include one of 150 NM with full stops at two different airports other than departure airport.

So a total of 20 hours flying solo and at least 1 hour for a final check ride with a CAAZ Examiner.

The time it takes to complete your PPL will be dependent on the following factors;

• Your available time to attend flight training
• Attendance of Ground School
• Availability of Finance
• Weather Conditions

We suggest you plan for at least 4 to 6 months of full time study and training to complete the entire PPL Course.

Please Note:

Your Private Pilots License (PPL) only allows you to fly as Pilot In Command…

On Private Flights or Recreational Flying.

This means that you cannot seek employment as a Pilot by any commercial operation or in any way get paid as a Pilot.

You may only get paid for flying once you have obtained your Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL).
