Dynamic Propeller Balancing

Did you know that 90% of aircraft out there have never had their propellers dynamically Balanced.

Vibration can cause damage throughout the aircraft. Vibration causes accelerated wear and fatigue on equipment and passengers and can damage the crankshaft bearings, engine mounts, firewall, instrument panel, exhaust, intake and more.

Dynamic balancing is accomplished by monitoring an accelerometer and an optical tachometer attached to the aircraft. The dynamic balancer uses these sensors to monitor assembly movement, rotational speed, and angular position as the assembly rotates. The balancer then quantifies the vibration magnitude and phase angle. Based on this measured vibration magnitude and phase angle, adding weight to the assembly at critical locations improves alignment of the centre of mass to the rotational axis, thereby reducing the vibration magnitude.

Set Prices

• USD $100 to check the balance of the propeller without balancing;
• USD $275 per propeller for Lycoming engines without a spinner bulkhead attached to the starter ring;
• USD $325 per propeller for Continental and Lycoming engines with an attached spinner bulkhead on the starter ring, and engines with an air conditioner belt on the starter ring;
• USD $425 per propeller for Turbo Prop Engines.

Cargo

We are frequently hired to provide cargo shipment services around Zimbabwe and the Southern African region.  By taking all the seats out of the aircraft, we are able to accommodate vast quantities of cargo, with the gutsiness of the Cessna Caravan we can often uplift almost one tonne of cargo, dependent on routes.  Our main cargo shipments include day old chicks between Zimbabwe and Malawi, as well as assisting with elephant evacuations and the relocation of endangered species under Zimbabwe National Parks supervision.

Medical Evacuations

Operating in partnership with established Medical Aid Providers in Zimbabwe, as well as internationally, Executive Air provide ambulance assistance within Zimbabwe and the Southern African region.  Again, our fleet versatility makes the movement of complicated and critical cases more efficient and cost effective.  Our crew attend annual training regarding air lifting patients, and are all well versed in how to best accommodate various medical conditions, so as to work in conjunction with the treating Flight Doctor and Nurses.

Private Pilot Training

Approved by the Civil Aviation Authority for both Private and Commercial Pilot training, our training school is instrumental to the furtherment of the aviation industry in Zimbabwe.  We are lucky enough to call one of the most distinguished Instructors in Zimbabwe our Chief Flight Instructor, and under their instruction assist with instruction from Private Pilot Licence ground school all the way up to Commercial Pilot Licence hour building.  Executive Air Training School has approval to conduct the following training:

Banner Towing

Executive Air is the only approved banner-towing service provider in Zimbabwe. With the option of either a plain letter wording banner or a customized block banner, we proudly offer our clients the opportunity of advertising like no other!

Hangarage

With numerous clients flying into Zimbabwe from neighbouring countries, we provide a secure hangarage service at Charles Prince Airport, mainly for smaller aircraft.
